About
Katy Dika is a Providence, RI based CMF, surface and soft goods designer with two decades of professional design experience. She enjoys working with brands to bring fresh color, pattern and trend to existing product assortments and to develop new products that can bring them into new markets.
In her personal surface design work, Katy draws influence from many areas including insects, mid-century commercial art, and patterns that occur in nature. This work is available for license through Artonomo.
Katy has worked with brands such as:
Michael Graves Design Studio, Talbots, Chadwicks, Fabricut, Pyrex, Sylvania/Ledvance, Fit & Fresh, Dorel Juvenile Group, Aqualeisure and many others both large and small.
She has her BFA in Apparel Design from the Rhode Island School of Design, a Certificate in Footwear Design & Development from Lasell University, and is a Thomas J. Watson Fellow. Katy currently teaches courses in Surface Design at the Rhode Island School of Design and Lasell University.
